To serve our community at the highest level, as our residents rightfully expect, the Mercer Island Police Department needs the resources and facilities to do the job effectively.

Currently, Mercer Island Police officers are working out of trailers, without much needed daily resources and with no secure holding areas. These limitations directly impact our ability to serve, respond, and protect at the standards our community deserves.

Mercer Island residents have high standards for our Police Department, expectations we are proud to meet. However, in order to continue rising to that level of service, a critical investment in public safety infrastructure is needed to ensure the Police Department is well equipped to continue serving and protecting the people of Mercer Island.

Please vote Yes on Proposition 1 this November to ensure the Mercer Island Police Department is set up for success, ensuring the safety, preparedness, and resilience of our residents."
